Pass the Champagne. I'm ready for New Year's!

First, I hope everyone had a good Chrismahanukwanzica season. Mine went well. Susan and Sarge spent the holiday with Mom, Dad, and myself in the country. It was nice. Sarge got a 2 new bones, an ornament and a rope. It was too cute. On Christmas evening, Mom and Dad had some of the neighbors and Gil and Victoria come over for dinner. Everytime someone new would come in Sarge would show them his new bone. Kind of like a kid saying 'Look what I got, look at what I got.' Then he would drop it to the floor and make a big thud. It was too cute. It will be really cool when Peanut has his first Xmas. But it was nice to have everyone out and share the warmth of the holiday. I had to work on Xmas eve which sucked. Half the calls I had where for liquor stores and one call for a strip club. Speaking of liquor, what is everyone doing for NY's? Other than that not much else is going on. I better get to sleep. I will blog later. Have a good weekend.

And Ameren said "Let there be light"; at least for fifteen minutes anyway

Greeting and Salutation one and all,

I hope that you all are staying warm, especially now since the weather is reeking havoc with the freaking furnace. I don't know about ya'll but fuck it's cold outside. Our electrical situation has been interesting to say the least. Sunday, I wake up and it is a little chilly in the house. Look around, all the clocks are out. Call Ameren and received the obligatory, "Due to the high number of outages in your area" blah blah blah. Called Mom and Dad, sure enough, they had no power either. So I packed some clothes to last me the next few days and head over to their place since they have the fireplaces. It was fun not having power though. Dad was in full survival mode. He was getting out batteries and lanterns. We were having drinks listening to holiday music. It was great. Around 3:00 p.m. the electric comes back on. I spent the night at Mom and Dad's. Monday morning, around 4, the power decides to go back out again. Not only this, my lovelies, but my car is a solid block of ice. After a half hour of literally trying to karate kick my doors open, standing on an inch of solid ice (which I do not recommend anyone to do) Mom gave me a ride into work. Dad comes and gets me and we proceed back over to their place. We stopped by the gas station and they had power. Mom and Dad's, sans power. So I come over to my place and in He-Man fashion I HAVE THE POWER. No seriously I had electric running. So Mom and Dad spent the last two nights over here with me. Their power just came back on yesterday afternoon. But we didn't freeze and we're all good, so that's the most important thing.

I told you I was a bad blogger!!

Happy Hanukkah everybody,

I know that it has been a while since I blogged. I'm glad that everyone made it out for the November dinner party. It was great having everyone out and ladies the food was delicious. I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Not much, as usual, is going on. I had my tests done and the doctor has me on meds right now for acid reflux. They are running test to see if I have any bacteria that I shouldn't have. Gross. Work sucks. But the good news is that I don't have to go back to work until Monday. Hallefreakinllujah!! The holidays are in full swing and I am NOT prepared. Where has the year gone? I don't know about ya'll but the crowds are a pain in the butt. Is it just me or do you need traffic lights for the end of every aisle that you go down? I'm trying not to be Scrooge like but it's hard baby. I will be glad when the holidays are over. But I would like to wish Mike a happy 30th birthday. Other than that, not much else is going on. I will try to get better about blogging more. Can't promise anything but I will try. I hope everyone has the great rest of the week.
